LanternKeep - early prototype
Hello!
Keep in mind that this is just a buggy litttle prototype. All music is temporary, and I'm planning on adding a more in-depth storyline as to why you're trapped in such a small world, inventory, actual boss summoning, and more. All feedback is still appreciated, though!
The game takes place in the light of a massive lantern - one of the few lights left in the world. You cannot leave this area, and have to make do with what you have. Waves of monsters come out at night to destroy your lantern, so its best to defend the lantern at night and make progress and fight bosses during the day.
If your health or your lantern drops to much you will die.
BE CAREFUL, YOU HAVE ONE LIFE.
WASD OR ARROW KEYS - move
1 - place an object (Hold to move block, Let go to actually place it)
2 - switch the type of object (Wood is weak, while things like steel can take days to be destroyed. There is a type of building called a floor, which is weaker than walls but you can actually pass trough it.)
3 - lock in camera (Can be used to make cool edits, looks
4 - bow (You have a little aiming minigame where your bow tries to aim away from your target too)
6 - DEVELOPER WEAPON (If you feel like playing god this is your kind of weapon!) Hold to charge sword and release to throw a GIANT gold sword (cause why not)
7 - DEVELOPER ITEM - teleportation wand - zooms the map out and goes to your cursor (Good if you want to go somewhere fast)
8 - SUMMON BOSS #2 - THE ORB
9 - SUMMON BOSS #1 - KING SLIME (Inspired by core keeper and terraria)
0 - demolish structure (only press it when your mouse is on the object you want to delete!)

Space - dash
